On Friday, August 13, 2004, a Purple Heart Ceremony was held at Ft. Knox, Kentucky.  Purple Hearts were awarded to 7 soldiers, including 3 from the 724th.  Recipients were:

Sgt. Ricky Daughtery, 1544th Transportation Company

Spc. Lymarie Serrano, 1462nd Transportation Company
